Unfortunately due to excessive standing and regularly walking on hard floors, heel pain is a disease of modern life. Whilst most cases of heel pain resolve with simple measures such as rest, ice, none-steroidal medications such as ibruprofen or Voltarol. Sometimes you may need to see a specialist. Plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, foot osteoarthritis, and heel fat pad inflammation can all cause inflammation.
